“I LOVE Cardiff Bay! I don't want to speak too highly of it as I've met people who aren't it's biggest fan. There's just something about the atmosphere that brings me here again and again. There are tons of amazing restaurants and bars each with there own unique selling point.”

“Booked a room for my daughter to have our grandchild christened. Very reasonable rates for hiring the room £50 for 3 hrs. There was also a £100 deposit returned after the event finished to cover damages. The bar staff were excellent and could not do enough to make sure everything went smoothly. Prices of drinks were very cheap and would strongly recommend this club as an excellent venue for any type of celebration you want to hold.”

“Visited to use the pool with my baby. It's a nice pool, colder than Aberdare but not too cold. The staff and the lifeguards are all helpful and friendly!”

“Amazing host for a fantastic new up and coming Roller Hockey Team. The Miner's. We train every Thursday night adults 9-10pm. Over 6 and youth on a Sunday 11-12. 16+ Sunday 12-1pm. Please feel free to come along and watch or join in first training sessions are on us. You will become part of a hectic team with a big heart ♥ and lots of big personalities.”

“Fair play, the number of people that go through these doors at the moment is incredible, yet, it's well sign posted and so slick. I was in and out in 30 minutes, including my sit down. Bravo.”

“My husband and I have just taken retirement and decided to sign up for Risca Leisure membership. The gym suits us perfectly and loving the pool I can honestly say a lovely lady by the name of Mandy on reception was very helpful, polite and very patient with us. Nothing was to much trouble for her.”

“Place gets really busy in the holidays, but staff organise the sessions very well. The lazy river with the wave machine was so fun, the slides were great but you had to wait a long time to queue. Changing rooms clean & plenty of space.”

“Better have vastly improved the centre since taking over from the council. Classes are professional, led by great trainers, facilities are good,, large pool, the booking app is easy, The new circuits class is especially good, run by ross/ Adrian as are yoga classes by holly. Really good value for money.”

“Went for a swim, bit cold getting in but once you start it's fine, changing rooms are typical council with not all cubicle looks working and you can't use the lockers but they provide plastic boxes to take your stuff pool side. Showers warm. All the staff I have met that work here are lovely”

“Visited again today to attend the art exhibition. A nice open area for exhibits. There were a range of paintings, sculptures, prints, photographs and prints on display. We spent about half an hour looking at the art. There is wheelchair access, cafe, street parking nearby, public toilets and a bar available. A great venue located in Weston-super-Mare sea front. Currently being used as an ice scape over Christmas and new year. It is also used for a number of other events including a fairground, music events, art and much more. There is a cafe open all year around at the entrance, disabled access, toilets and street parking (payable to council ) at front of property.”

“Lovely staff, pool was peaceful and really high quality, perfect temp. Hot tub was super hot and bubbly too. Would absolutely recommend for a daily morning swim”

“Went here for my Covid booster vaccine. Very well run. Easily accessible by public transport. Can catch a number of buses from Blackwood bus interchange including the 151 which stop just outside the old council offices then it a short walk up the hill and the leisure centre is on the first right. The site is run down as it the old iswlyn high school but can't let that rule the positives of the main reason of the visit here today.”

“My son really enjoyed his 10th birthday party there. Staff really helpful and friendly. The building looks a bit old but the view from the room upstairs is lovely.”

“My grandson has swimming lessons here. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Classes are really good. My grandson is 10months and is making huge progress in the water. It is amazing that at such a young age he is confident in the water and learning safety in the water.”

“Great range of facilities that cater to all ages and abilities including swimming pools, gym, toning suite, Spa, library, children’s soft play and wall climbing. On site cafe with plenty of seating and a good range of food and drinks that cater for some allergies. Has always been clean upon my visits. Lots of parking with ample disabled spaces. Access to free two hours parking if using the Halo facilities, otherwise pay and display with reasonable fees. Outside play park and fields with an athletics track.”

“The facilities are a 6 out of 10 I think but the staff that I have met easily make up for it one of the guys at reception very helpful polite and just a nice guy same goes for the guy at the desk in the gym super helpful realy nice fella”

“Grew up having swimming lessons at this leisure centre, attending life saving classes, swimming with school, and even had a birthday party here as a child. Always had good experiences, staff have always been nice, and still enjoy swimming here from time to time.”

“Been here a few times when visiting family. Overall swimming with the kids is great fun. Never used any of the gym facilities so can't comment there. It's a great place to book kids birthday parties as they have a bouncy castle for the kids. Best to book a couple of months in advance as it's particularly popular. Only one gripe I have is their tea at reception tastes awful - tasted like a mix of coffee and tea so maybe avoid that. But overall it's a great place for swimming and kids birthday parties”

“Excellent front of house staff, very helpful. Will call someone to help you if needed. The personal trainers and leisure staff are also extremely friendly and helpful. The equipment is very good and with up to date and brand new spinning bikes in their own dedicated studio. The pool is a lovely experience as it’s kept at an ambient temp, nice to get into and not to warm. Unfortunately the health suit has been on and off lately. Is closed atm due to vandalism and other issues. Cleaning might be an issue to some, as this is a well used building, with all ages in groups and clubs, not always being at their best. Plenty of in-house classes for everyone and all abilities. All in all great value for money and welcoming place to spend your time for more than a couple of days a week.”
