“Came in here with my uncle Steven to have a bite to eat. Morley our server was phenomenal, she was so friendly and helpful. The manager on shift was really helpful with getting me somewhere comfortable for my wheelchair to go. Food was outstanding the short rib was falling off the bone. There were three chefs at our table and all three of us were very happy. The price was basically unbeatable for that quality. I looked into the hotel rooms and they're really reasonably priced, and you get 10% off food at the bar which is amazing. 1000% will be coming back here when we're next in town.”

“Welcoming classic country pub. Good choice of real ales including the local brewery Chantry. The menu has what you'd expect but with some more interesting dishes. My generous all-day breakfast was excellent, nice ingredients and properly cooked. Wholeheartedly recommended.”

“We had the 'Hassop' double room which was nice and big with a very large bed. The room was on the first floor overlooking the beer garden which was fine. Little to no noise from it at bed time. Didn't eat here but did have drinks in the bar on a couple of nights. The staff were efficient and friendly. Free parking is a bonus.”

“Visited the red lion in June to visit the landlord and landlady (previously from Beverley). The pub is very central, ideal location. Very clean and comfortable. The staff are so friendly and made us feel so welcome. The outside area is fairly big with plenty of seating, with a doggy station. Although we never had food, we did see it, and it looked lovely. “Stayed there while working away for a while, very welcoming, they make you feel at home, 3 course meal every night no extra charge, lovely woman Mrs mcreedy is and all the others that live their a really nice too. If you're working away and need a place to stay in Doncaster look no further get booked in here highly recommend”

“We didn't stay at the Travelodge we just went into the restaurant below for lunch. The sevice was very good and the staff very friendly the food itself was delicious. I had chicken in mushroom sauce and my son had pork in a sauce bothe were perfect. I couldn't give it a better review I would definitely recommend it and will be going again. Thank you”

“Had a phenomenal time here last weekend with my good friends. Good value for money, each lodge comes with its own TV and WiFi router (15mbps down / 31mbps up / 92ms) so can stream YouTube perfectly fine and great for entertainment. There’s a lovely café and shop on-site where you can buy snacks. There lodge itself has a hot shower and is modern and cosy. Really nice location”

“I had a fantastic stay at Jonas Hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed, including a smart TV and en-suite shower. The staff were welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. I loved the free coffee and pastry in the morning, and the location is perfect—quiet, close to the University and Botanical Gardens, with easy access to the city center. Great value for money, and I’d definitely stay here again!”

“We always used Glebe Farm for our terriers for many many years, we recently decided to move our Spaniel back after trying a different kennel for a while, so glad we did, he’s clearly happy to go in every time we take him back, the place is spotless and he always comes back clean and well fed, my feeling with Phil the owner, is he’s just keen to get on with looking after the dogs so he can come across as brusque to owners, but clearly know the dogs well …. Personally I’d rather have someone who clearly loves dogs looking after mine, than spending time chatting. Some of these bad reviews are ridiculous.”

“Clean and spacious room and bathroom. As is pretty standard now most of the sockets in the room have built in USB chargers, so just being a USB cable with you to charge your phone. Not sure if it was due to the current fuel prices, but it was nice that for once the room wasn't overbearingly hot on arrival. Only downside was that check-in was very slow, it took almost 30 mins (arrived just behind another group).”

“Traveling back from the Dordogne France. We had our touring caravan with us, and 2 dogs. We parked up in the car park, very tired nearly 12 midnight. My husband went to speak to the travel lodge to see if we could spend the night. The gentleman was very pleasant. We spent the night in the caravan it was very quite. I would highly recommend this place. The cost was £15. Thank you”

“Fantastic location for business travel 1 minute from M1 yet all amenities for a hotel stay on doorstep, restaurants, etc. Free and abundant parking for guests. Room was enormous and facilities excellent for a budget hotel. Reception staff very helpful and knowledgeable regarding local area. Had a bit of trouble with swipe access card but staff on hand to help.”

“Polite proprietor, lovely comfy rooms and a lovely kitchen with free tea/coffee facilities. There are 2 microwaves and plenty of fridge/freezer and cupboard space to store your own food. Very quiet with low traffic noise and clean ensuite bathrooms with showers. Access to a bath also. I have spent 7 nights here so far and it feels like home. I have just booked another week. Very fair prices and freeview TV in all rooms. BT infinity WiFi access for all guests.”

“We stayed at St John’s house in September as a family for 10 days when our home was inhabitable. Michelle was very good at communicating with us and fast to respond to any questions that we had . It was a lovely home away from home experience. We had all the facilities and kitchen utensils we needed . The home is Lovely spacious well decorated, great location close to the A1 motorway. Lots of shops close by . Very safe and secure, lots of parking. Super fast wifi . I would definitely recommend this place.”
