Location & View: The setting on Cardiff Bay is simply breathtaking. I highly recommend booking a room with a balcony; the panoramic views over the water are unforgettable, especially at sunset. It's perfectly positioned for exploring the bay area, with easy access to the waterfront bars and restaurants. Service: The staff deserves special commendation. From the moment we checked in to the minute we left, the service was attentive, warm, and highly professional. Every request was handled quickly and cheerfully. Comfort & Design: The rooms are luxurious, modern, and spotlessly clean. The 'voco' touches—especially the super comfortable bed and premium amenities—ensure a restful night's sleep. “Stayed here for 3 night from the 28th of July 2025, was made welcome from a lovely guy called CHRIS who assigned us room 103. I've stayed in many 5* hotels in America, Asia and Europe, and although this was a budget hotel CHRIS was by far the best front of house staff we ever encountered. Throughout our stay CHRIS was so helpful for any information we required and couldn't help us enough. We came as guests and left as friends. Thanks CHRIS.”

“Very friendly and helpful. We were looking for gerbils for our children and they managed to get a pair. The gerbils were ready for us when we arrived. The lady in the shop took time to talk to us about the animals in the shop too. Thanks.”

“These people clearly don't just see this as a job, it is evident to see that it is their passion. Bear has been walked mainly by Ellie and also MJ for about 3 months now, we originally enquired because we wanted Bear to experience socialising with other dogs however he has totally fallen in love with Ellie, the excitement he shows whe he sees her at the door is adorable. I now don't think we could ever not need this amazing service. Stephen has been fantastic at being flexible with walks and is always willing to answer your questions, also very responsive. I cannot praise this Team enough or thank them enough for caring for Bear as much as we do.”

“The lady who helped us buy 2 Russian Dwarf hamsters was absolutely amazing! I bought the little white hamster and one of the other grey/black hamsters. Supported in choosing the correct accessories and cage for them! Couldn't recommend a better store!”

“Ceri always helps with anything I need advice or help on fast reply on Facebook also brought my puppy there today and they showered him with love and treats and also helped us fit a harness and also get the correct harness and lead for our pup they were so down to earth and lovely people to speak to made is feel so at home and we stocked up on all out pups favourite treats I highly recommend we can't wait to bring him down again xx”

“Had lovely room but there'd been a leak so moved to a suite. Very good stay. I wasn't well, the maids left me peace. Refrigerator was useful so I was able to keep cold water and a sandwich fresh. Only negative there's no light without getting out of the bed in the sitting room. Helpful staff. Free parking. Clean, quiet, 8 minute walk to the Bay.”

“We booked the room for 4 days. Breakfast was quite good. It has other meal deals also. Room was comfortable & bus stations is just across the road. Different buses including sightseeing stop here. Check the timmings & dates for sightseeing bus. A halal buffet resturant..buffet tonight ...( 18 pound ) with more than 50 items ,is 100 meters away in red dragon mall, with a cinema..games for kids & bowling alley.”

“Recently stayed here for a weekend celebration. There were 9 of us in total. The hotel was in a great location. Extremely clean. Breakfast was great with plenty of choice. The staff were incredible. They went above and beyond to accommodate us. Thank you so much.”

“My chihuahua always looks a billion dollars after coming to the groom room here. Also staff are extremely gifted with their knowledge of pets. Shout out to Jodi who gave me fab advice about pet nutrition and helped my dog with flea repellent. £4 a month to treat your pet and you never have to worry about fleas again!”

“I'm going to be brutally honest, this was a great pets at home. We especially liked the rats. I saw a hamster sleeping in the weirdest position too (yes it is alive just very cosy)”

“Excellent service from the gentleman on the desk (didnt quite catch his name). He upgraded both our rooms to executive suites. One was a lot smaller than the other and the fridge in the smaller room wasnt working. However this didnt affect our stay in the slightest. Staff were super friendly, made it easier for conversation as one of us were already dressed up to go out!! Rooms were super clean, tv was of a good size only downfall was we could not connect to the chromecast in any of the rooms. Cant comment on the bar/restaurant as only popped in there for one drink before heading out. But it was lovely and clean and the drinks were nice. The pool was nice, jaccuzzi/hot tub could have been warmer but it was ok. Parking charges are a bit on the high side, but we had a lift there and back. Id definatly reccommend and would stay again but would park elsewhere or catch a train and walk. Honestly though the gentleman on the desk was an absolute gem and hes a credit to your hotel. Cant wait to return.”

“Food and drinks at Stable today, I forget how great this place is. Firstly booked for 6 but ended up being 8 which was accommodated with no fuss. Pizza's were insane. The best selection of ciders and beers. Staff amazing too. Great, straightforward, no fuss, good value, delicious food, great service. Just what we all needed after Cardiff Half.”

“10/10!! Just want to say a massive thank you, from the bottom of our hearts to all the staff that was working on Tuesday 4th February! My cat was hit by a car ( we think) and I turned up such a mess, Hannah took my cat straight away and checked her over, the receptionists were absaloutly golden, so compassionate. They had answers and solutions straight away! They kept me updated constantly, offered and explained everything to me and now My little warrior is home on the mend! I can't recommend or thank them enough!”

“Had to have my baby put down today worst day ever. Told he had cancer and was no treatment as was too far peogressed. Pics are of the day just before. Will always be loved an never forgotten Daddys boy forever. Looked soo sad, but he knew it was almost over No more pain, be happy up there where ever you are, daddy will find you again 1 day i promise. “Teddy is an 8 month old cavapoo and had his puppy groom and now has had two big boy grooms. He literally runs through the store to get to the Groom Room, and is even more excited when he sees Beth. She has looked after him from the start and she has always does an absolutely amazing job. He looks a million dollars. She treats him with such care and understanding. I cannot recommend Beth highly enough. Thank you x”

“Great location and easy to find parking. The staff here are lovely and attentive and we were made up to be 'guests of the day' Room was clean and bedsheets spotless, teabags do need to be changed to a decent brand though. Some parts of the hotel were tired and in need of repair such as leaking roof and broken lift, however the breakfast was excellent and our experience was amazing. I definitely will choose The Hilton again to stay during our next rugby match and what an honour to meet the Japan team. Thanks all you made me and my boys so happy x”

“Had a pleasant 2 night stay here for the Oasis gig in Cardiff. The lady at reception on the day was so pleasant and friendly when we checked in. Rooms were comfy & airy for the hot July weather. I had left items behind in the hotel when we checked out, both Rachel & Georgia went above and beyond communicating via email about my lost items and posted them out to me again. The customer service was excellent and for that alone I would recommend this hotel. Thanks guys!”

“I spent one night with a friend at Zip at the end of September 2025. We paid £26 for a twin room. The room was spotless, the facilities were nice, but the staff truly made the difference. From check-in to check-out, I felt cared for much better than in many other hotels. A special thanks to Mell for her kindness and valuable support at breakfast she really set the right mood for my day. It was unexpectedly surprising to find such kind and genuine people in a low-cost hotel.”

“I brought my dog to Vets4Pets Newport Road after a rough experience at another vet in Cardiff. There are a few things I appreciate about this hospital: - The vets are skilled with good bedside manner, and I was impressed that they offer sonography, radiology, and orthopaedics. They also take the time to talk through your pets care with you and make sure that you understand everything. - They offer emergency services. Although my dog's case was pushed back a day, they helped another pup with an urgent surgery. I am from the States, and these cases nearly always get bumped to emergency clinics and speciality hospitals. - They respect my knowledge as a licensed vet nurse in the States. Other vets dismissed any concerns or knowledge I had of vet med. I've been in the field for 16 years, and I am a skilled nurse, so I appreciate that being recognized. - Their prices are reasonable. - Most of the staff handled it well when I was upset when my old dog's case was deferred to the following week (there may be some lingering irritation with me from some staff, but that is okay). The only issue I had was with an estimate being a little off, but that happens in vet med. They were able to fix some things to honor the price they quoted me.”
