βLovely staff was looking for some spiced rum to have over the festive period however due to what i assume is high demand there was none available on the shelves. Thankfully a generous employee named jack helped me upon my request and retreived the rum for me with perfect manners and proffesionalism.β
βFirst visit here . Good disabled parking and good access to the shop . Very impressed with the standard of the cafe !!! Pity its so far from home . Well worth the extra few mile driveβ
βLocation is perfect you are right in the middle, lady on the desk wasnt the nicest, but the rooms were spacious and considering your in the centre, the noise outside doesn't effect you too much! Lovely stay!β
βEvening staff at receotion was really a top bloke. Really helped alot and had a chat for about 20 minutes. Quite remote for halal food but nothing uber eats or deliveroo can't fix but extortionate prices. Room was okay, cleanliness could have been better and a bit of a maze to get to the room. The room i asked for was on the ground floor and at furthest away from the road noise. Reception made the stay memorable and hence why the 5 stars. Thank you to the receptionist for the guidance and for the chat.β
βCustomer service was very excellent, pharmacist/manager was very good and helpful, reassured me by giving me good clinical adviceβ
βReally beautiful old hotel. Room was spacious, clean and bathroom well stocked. Staff were really friendly. We were a walkin and ended up staying an extra night. Location is great for the town and of course the paking was a real bonus because of prices of street parking in the other hotels. Highly recommend.β
βBeautiful hotel with a lot of history. Staff are friendly , approachable , well presented and charismatic with plenty of knowledge especially the bar and carters restaurant. Nothing was too much trouble and you can see this with presentation and professionalism. We Didnβt mind staying over despite a large wedding in the afternoon/ evening. After all it is an events Hotel. Great work from all the team and the food is sublime. Few photos to view- spa was stunning and much needed !! Helpful staff and loved to glimpse a sneak peak of the wedding arrangements.β
βBoots the Chemist at the Merrion centre, Leeds, has been my 'local' pharmacy for a long time now. They have been consistently helpful and friendly, but never more than during the last 10 months during the pandemic. I very recently had a worrying and lingering issue and saw a pharmacist on four separate occasions. Each time I was treated with dignity, empathy, professionalism and wisdom, and which saved me having to attend my surgery, which is also under similar challenges. When i was with them I felt like all of their attention was on my worry and medical needs, in spite of all the demands on all of the staff during this time in particular. I am SO grateful to them all.β
βGreat place. "Most" staff are nice and friendly. Always stocked up. Great for little shops.β
βFor a hotel in its price range it's quite nice. A note for foreigners like myself, an "English breakfast" is a tea, not a continental breakfast which is my bad for misunderstanding. Really good if you want to got to the royal armoury museum!β
βThank you so much for the helpful lady in the pharmacy when I missed the bus to attend my Covid jab this afternoon and for the person administering the jab. I appreciate very much that I was fitted in with no trouble at a later time. Kind regards to all, Francesβ
βThere is one lady in there who always goes above and beyond to make sure i get the medication required. Also gave my poorly boy stickers for sitting patiently. Top serviceβ
βabsolutely love the staff so lovely and sweet - bananas in pyjamasβ
βWe have 4 cats in our household and they love nothing more than sharing fleas with each other. I swapped my favourite cat (I know I shouldn't admit that) to Itch and found it to be highly effective. Leo is a much happier boy now and we added our other 3 cats to our account as a result. We love the packaging and the applicator is easy to use - and most importantly, it works! :)β
βExcellent, helpful and friendly service.β
βGood shop to get your daily things. Staff are really friendlyβ
βI didn't stay at the hotel so I could t comment on any of the rooms. However I did have my wedding reception in the bar. Nathan was the bar staff and wow how great is he. Lots of conversation lovely and kind. Stuck to covid rules and guidelines but still made sure our evening was as wonderful as it could be. Was attentive and made sure we had everything needed. Allowed us to control what music we had and didn't complain at us once. The bar was lovely was decorated perfectly for us before hand. Let us take our own buffet and just made our evening the best experience. If you're just wanting a quiet casual drink or somewhere to go on a night out, are having a function and just want a nice drink I would highly recommend this place. Nathan is great and will do his best tk meet your needs honestly the best time I've had and not just because it was our wedding but because of wnathan and the George thank you so much!!β
βVery polite, friendly and knowledgeable staff.β

βLovely staff on reception. Clean, comfortable room. Fan was a welcome addition on such a hot day/night. Good location right off the A1. Next to a Burger King and Greggs and petrol station. Highly recommendβ
βI left my card at a self service till yesterday and when I realised and returned today, the staff couldn't have been kinder or more helpful even though it was 10 minutes before closing time. Many thanks to Syed on tills and Umar on security for all their help - also to whoever handed my card in!β
βMy go-to Tesco in North Leeds. It's a big one so it has a great range of products as well as a pharmacy that I use from time to time. Also great for a meal deal with a Costa coffee βοΈ.β
βThe staff are always very helpful : )β
βI rate this store and the team so highly, and I've written to their head office completing them. Twice ive had a medical emergency in that store and twice they came to my aid. A true asset to the townβ
βPeanut butter is excellent great texture and moulds easily into the coconut shell provided lots of birds visiting the garden will definitely buy again and would highly recommendβ
βReally good experience, good double size room, nice powerful shower. The manager is nice and friendly and really helpful. The location is 30 min walk to the town centre or a 5 min uber/taxi ride. The property is a bit outdated but If your looking for reasonable cheap and cheerful place with no thrills and no high expectations AVA residence is the place.β
βAbsolutely lovely staff - so friendly and helpful and it makes such a difference. Our room was immaculate - perfect for the nights stay. Six of us are in the restaurant and it was really nice - all in all excellent value - great location - great breakfast and brilliant staff. Thank you.β
βWe have been today the 8th of May. Absolutely fantastic service from Paul in the spa, we have been before so knew where everything was. Lovely time in the pool and jacuzzi and not overcrowded. We had a afternoon tea booked after and they brought the time forward for us as we requested with no problem at all. We were served promptly by Paul again who asked if we had enjoyed the spa, which we had. Gorgeous food and choice of sandwiches and cakes. Absolutely spot on. Well worth a visit.β
