“We came for breakfast this morning to see my youngest son off for his basic training in the RAF. We were a large party so we had booked but due to ever increasing numbers changed our booking twice. This was done in a pleasant and friendly manner . We were looked after by Beth , Jess and Adrian. Nothing was too much trouble . Friendly , attentive and efficient. We had the middle section to ourselves which made it feel like a family gathering should. The buffet was fresh and plenty of choice and the eggs Benedict didn’t disappoint.”

“Went in on a Friday night, nobody in, no takeaways cooking and was very worried but had read the good reviews on google. Glad I went in as the takeaway was the best I have had in years. Fresh and tasty food that doesn’t taste laden with MSG! Will definitely be returning!!”

“Me and my family went to Nando’s in Parkgate, Rotherham for lunch and had a great experience. It was very busy, but the staff handled it really well—service was still quick and friendly. We’ve been to various Nando’s over the years, and this one really stood out as one of the best. The food was hot, well cooked, and absolutely delicious. Everything arrived fresh and on time, and the staff made sure we were well looked after. We all enjoyed our meals and had a lovely time. Definitely recommend if you're in the area!”

“Came here for a family meal out. Our first visit and we was not disappointed. The pub is decorated to a very good standard with a warm and welcomimg feel, the staff were really polite and courteous too and the food menu was very extensive and exciting. Of course we had to try the platters and had our 1st taste of chicken burger with candy floss cola dip n sherbet dib dab lol which was tastebud tantalizing to say the least... Popcorn with cola sauce too. Portions were more than generous and worth every penny. Was delighted to find an outside play area at the back of the pub for the little ones. Had a wondeful time here and will definitely be returning. Highly recommend this venue you will not be disappointed. Thankyou to all the staff for a memorable day out. Much appreciated.”

“We had Jess as our server. She was absolutely exceptional. I’ve recently been diagnosed with Coeliacs and this was my first time dining out since the diagnosis. Jess was super attentive and made sure I knew which options on the menu were safe for me to eat. She made recommendations and she was spot on! The food was delicious. Exceptional meat, full of flavour and the burnt ends just fell apart. Teeth optional! The atmosphere was fantastic and it felt like we had plenty of privacy. Jess was attentive but not in your face. The perfect evening and I can’t wait to come back!”

“Party of 8 adults and one child under two, visited The Admiral Rodney today for a Christmas family get together. We chose from the Festive menu. What la lovely afternoon the atmosphere was very Christmasy with the tree up and the log fires burning. Our server was Jacob who did an excellent job and always with a smile. “We had a take away from Zara’s and can honestly say it’s one of the best we have had. The food was hot on delivery, fresh ingredients, and delicious. Well spiced, good amount of meat in the food which is sometimes lacking from other takeaways and the best chips ever! Garlic Naan is fab and the jalfrezi kicks a punch!! 100% recommended.”

“My room was comfortable and clean. It had plenty of tea, coffee, etc. Had a smart tv and a decent shower. The ladies in the bar were welcoming and friendly. The breakfast the next morning was tasty and good value at £7.95 for a small, including a hot drink. A couple of minor negatives are. The hireable venue opposite may keep people awake for a while. It depends on how much of a light sleeper you are. Also, the room was really bright early in the morning.”

“This has become my favourite city centre pub. Great pub food menu & great friendly service by staff who know their job. Always a pleasant vibe, whether seated inside or outside, even on SUFC matchdays. The steak pie and mash was the best I've ever had. And their gravy is sendational ! Reasonable food prices, good range of beers. Only downside is the beer prices - £6.30 for a pint of IPA”

“We have been to the little john a few times now for Sunday lunch. Everytime we go we have a great experience. The restaurant is clean, the staff are lovely and the food is good. There is plenty of parking although the carpark has a few pot holes”
